Hilarious English Teacher in Japan

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2005

I was surfing some anime forums, and for some weird reason Jeff Sensei (Sensei is Japanese for Teacher) site came up… So I went to go take a look, and got hooked… His editorials are hilarious!

Jeff Sensei reminds me of GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka), an anime series that is about an ex-gang leader who started teaching middle schoolers.

I hope in the future I can write stuff like he does, and make it funny……..

Karaoke one more time!

Sunday, June 19th, 2005

I went to the Karaoke place again today, it was pretty fun. I think I did improve my skills compared to last time, but I need to listen to a wider variety of music.

Before we went to karaoke, we first had lunch at a Hawaiian resteraunt called Noho’s. The food was pretty good, and I was starving.

I want to go again, but I know everyone is busy. Hopefully when I go to Japan this summer, we will be able to meet up and hang out again!

Paintball, Sushi, and Karaoke!

Sunday, June 12th, 2005

Had fun on Saturday hanging out with the Japanese interns. First we met up at around 1 to go paintballing, only one guy played, the other 4 girls just watched.
Then we went to go eat sushi, near lloyd center, which was fun to… I was starving.
Karaoke was probably the funnest of them all, we stayed there till about 10.
Here’s a photo of us!

Next Year’s Classes

Monday, June 6th, 2005

Met with my counselor today about the classes I am going to try and take during this summer and next year… So i can finish the graduation requirements to graduate early.

So far this is what my selection looks like:

Summer:
Health (Independant Study, online at BYU or PSU)
English (Independant Study, online at BYU or PSU)

‘05 - ‘06 School Year
@ Grant High School:
AP History
Geometry 1-2
Conceptual Physics
Japan Meets West
Japanese Lit & Media
Journalistic Writing
Photography 1-2
And I’m going to take Economics at night school.

I may ask my counselor again later this week if I could do Geometry during the summer also, my friend thinks I could do that as independant study really easily, and that would let me take Algebra 3-4 next year instead.

None of those classes are decided for sure yet…. :-(, I think I have to wait ’till the end of this week to find out.

A’s in my 2 Senior classes!

Thursday, June 2nd, 2005

I’m pretty happy today, finals for my Japanese Film class (which is mostly a senior and junior class) is over, and my grade is a A.
I was taking US Government at Night School, (I’m not falling behind, I’m a freshman), and that class just ended today, and guess what? I got 107.2% in that! 2 A’s in my reprot card, and they are going to be senior classes. The other two are going to be the easier japanese class, and physical education… Then B’s for Biology and Math, and C’s for English and Modern World History…
I guess the C’s aren’t anything to brag about, but the 2 A’s are! Here are some photo’s from my classes.
