What’s your startpage?

permalink add this

Startpages, homepages, whatever you want to call them, are useful. What do you have as yours?
I used to have a blank one, that way I can type the url that I want to go to quickly, without having to use my mouse. But, after some time, and some maturing, I prefer to read the news first, before I go off and download anime. Apple’s startpage, isn’t that useful, it’s not updated as much, and no personalization, which I prefer. Netscape’s startpage… too many ads, same with Yahoo and AOL. Then there’s dvorak’s idea, which is create your own static one so it loads fast… That’s fun, but it doesn’t have updated news.
I like Google’s personalized homepage/startpage. I think it’s great, you can choose what you want on it, wether it be an RSS feed from your favorite blog, weather, or a news site’s RSS feed. It loads pretty fast, and I use most of the sources.

Here’s what my startpage looks like, in PDF form.

I'm not finished with the design of my blog quite yet, please hold on while I fix the comments, archives, and search templates.
