I know this is kinda off topic for what I write about, but the Guardian published an article about a poll-type thing that Google had earlier.
Why am I bringing this up? Well, one reason is Google is getting really friendly with it’s user base, and another is, well, I didn’t expect the results that came out.
The winning Google logo looks pretty cool actually. And guess what? It was drawn by a 13 year old! Talk about young Google users!
Summary
- 15,000 youngsters from the age of 4 to 18 participated.
- 15% of all schools in the UK (4,682) participated
- The poll was about what “my Britain” meant to young people
- 45% featured monuments and historic figures compared to 3% that featured celebrities
- The crown & it’s jewels (21%) was used by more people than the queen (12%)
- Nature and environment were key themes (36%)
- Physical activity was also dominant (33%)
These numbers were provided by the Google Report.
