Well, first off, I’d like to thank my friend Sam for telling me about macZot.com. It’s a website that has programs to download daily, and it’s pretty neat. Recently they had their MyzteryZOT which I purchased (and have yet to receive my serial numbers for the software that comes with it, in cluding pzizz) and I downloaded the programs so I could use them once I got the serials.

Well, I tried pzizz first, because well, it seemed interesting. (This is my first time writing a review, so feedback would be awsome)

It has a very simple interface (load nap, generate, play, stop, volume control, time left) which like i said earlier, is the key. Simple is good. The product description it has gave me a different thought of what the software would do, it’s more like a hypnosis thing.

I never really believed that hypnosis works, and I still don’t think it does. But pzizz really does relax you. (I know, it says not for anyone under 18, which I don’t understand why… ) You can set your custom time from 10 min to 60 min. There are two modes, one is the nap mode, and another is the sleep mode. I’m assuming you use the nap for napping and sleep for sleeping (duh). Each mode has different stuff, there’s a guy talking in the background and some neat music playing to relax you.

At the end of your experience, an alarm goes off to make sure you’re awake… I guess some people really do get stuck in it huh? I’m going to need to try this again, because first off, I tried it while laying half on the floor half on a step-up thing, which kinda disturbed my back. Overall, I’d give this a 7 out of 10. It didn’t give all that it said it would, but it did relax me and give me some ideas.

Have any of you tried using Google’s search history and bookmarking features?

They’re pretty awsome. I guess the #1 thing I like about Google products, is that they’re simple. That’s the key. I use BlinkList sometimes, but it just has too much JUNK. (I like their idea and what they’re trying to do, there’s just too much stuff for me to want to go to it just to get one link).

I’ve been using Google’s online bookmarking, and it’s very nice. I have a link to “bookmark this” and to view the bookmarks… but that’s about all I have in my firefox bookmarks bar. Pretty amazing huh?

Their search history is amazing too. As long as you stay logged in, any search you make (whether it be on personolized search, in your firefox toolbar, or on the normal Google search), it gets recorded and archived. I thought I’d see when I started using the thing, so I clicked all the way back in my archives, and it’s been recording every search I’ve made since October 2005! That’s soo awsome.

I just checked up on my Google Analytics for my blog… Where I thought I only had like 2 readers, I find there’s more than that!

I’m soo excited! I got accepted as a beta user for Google’s new hosted gmail service. Basically, i can get email at: admin [at] amarimono [dot] com and I can use Gmail for it!

Isn’t that awsome, so I can get email from takshimada [at] gmail [dot] com, or you can email me at admin [at] amarimiono [dot] com and I use the Gmail interface to read/write reponses!

Go to the google search engine and type in your name with ‘needs’ after it. ex: “John needs” and write down the first line of the description of the first website that appears, (it should say something like: “John needs a shave”).

Lol, my attempt at a cool title
I’ve been reading a lot of bad stuff about digg recently, and it hasn’t really come to my attention *that* much. I mean, I barely use it, I use Newsvine more now (it’s wayyyy cooler), so it really didn’t bother me that much. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I was one of the first couple thousand users, ever since their 1st podcast, so I did keep up with their stuff for a while. But digg is, I dunno, I just like newsvine better :P.

Anyways, here’s a great article explaining how to refer users who just came from the digg site back to the digg site, so you don’t get all this:

There’s been rumors going around all over the net about Disney buying out Pixar, and Steve Jobs getting part of Disney.

This, if it does happen, would definately, give Apple the upperhand in the entertainement market. Especially in making Mac’s part of everyone’s digital life. With a new wireless ipod (rumors), and an internet service for it, that would bring a whole new generation of music listening too. Think about it, you have your iPod, you’re at the airport, and you want new music.

I’ll ad more later, and when I do, this sentence will be gone.

So many people are against spying if it’s being done to them, but if it is being done to someone else then all of the sudden it’s okay?

UCLAProfs.com is offering students who “… have a professor who just can’t stop talking about…” money to “spy” on them. Now, I have a couple problems with this, one, is that UCLAProfs.com isn’t part of the University, and two, it’s not University “sponsored’. Or, the University isn’t backing it. If it was the University asking students to spy on their own professors, that’s one thing… but another organization… isn’t that… illegal?

Oh well, we all have our own opinions on these things don’t we? What do you think?

Woa! my mom got me an issue of BusinessWeek becaues it had stuff about myspace on it (always looking out for me), anyways, in it, i was suprised to find out that SBC, Communications merged with AT&T, and now hte new name is at&t…. lol, i guess that’s good news, the new logo looks great.

GE is going to be cleaning up their factories to compete with other places…. or somethig like that, i wasn’t too interested in it, but the world is heating up real fast, we need to do something about it eh?

Okay, so when I make my switch, I want to use the most convenient software for me… with the most features.
So far, I’ve heard of these blog software:

• LiveJournal
• Blogger
• MovableType
• PMachines
• WordPress
• GreyMatter

Those are strictly blogging, some other content management systems also have support for blogs… and there’s way too many of them so I’m not going to bother (however, if I am, I will probably use Drupal, which is so far my most fav system)

Okay, I’m starting to get fed up… My original idea was to just keep using blogger and flickr even if I have my own domain name and server… Why? That way if in the event that I stop paying for my domain name and server, my photos and blogs will still be up.

Yesterday my problem was with the template images, parts don’t show up, etc. Today it won’t even let me post to Philotic Web from Flickr! How absurd is that… When I tried posting from within the blogger site, it asked for a word verification! Later I found out that the reason my Philtoc Web blog had word verification on it was because it was marked as a potential spam blog!

I think I may start to move all of my content to my own server (for the blogs, I’ll keep flickr, it’s nice to use). I’ve played with WordPress a lot recently, and I’m very comfortable using that, especially after all this. It wouldn’t even be that hard, since I would just re-create my template and transfer my stuff to my server.

I shall contemplate this…
